so im going to a party and the theme is 80s. im not rich so i dont want to spend much on a costume, i already am getting leggings and legwarmers(in bright colors) and i want to do the off the shoulder sweatshirt look but i dont know how to make one or where to buy one. also what shoes/jewelry should i get. and lastly, what should i wear over the leggings, like shorts or skirts or what!! HELP!! lol

So my husband and I have a Halloween party to go to. I need some help with ideas for a humorous couples costume. We don’t want to do anything raunchy or sexual. This is what we’ve been in the past in case anyone else wants some ideas:

Construction workers
Bride and Groom
Pair of Dice
Lady Liberty and a Border Patrolman (I wore a sign saying not accepting applications)
50s teeny boppers
Zombies
Judges that were electioneering

These are the ideas that I’ve found the most innovative so far, so you have an idea of what I’m looking for:

Me, a pumpkin – Him a sweatshirt that says peter (Husband thought that was too overtly sexual)
Each of us dress up like 2 quarters and wear hip-hop type clothing – we’d be 50 cent
Jogging outfit and a burger hat – fast food
Me a bee, him black sweatpants and sweatshirt with a bunch of letters glued on – spelling bee
Peter pan and wendy

PLEASE HELP ME! I’m not in love with any of these ideas.

alright i have an orchestra concert coming up in october and we have to be in costume for it. im going as somebody from the 80s. i wasn’t exactly alive then so i need some help. i already made this sweet off the shoulder sweatshirt from an old batman crew neck sweatshirt. i also plan on wearing stirrup leggings and leg warmers and possibly with some jellies flats i have. im not sure what to wear over the leggings like a skirt or shorts. remember: SCHOOL FUNCTION so i can’t go without some kind of pant/short/skirt on. also remember, im not supposed to be serious. i want to look ridiculous.

top to bottom

hair= side ponytail

shirts= hot pink tight tank top & a sweatshirt with the neck cut out and sayings like "whatever" and "fabulous" on it

bottom= biker shorts and neon blue leggings with rainbows on them underneath, and a very short black tutu over everything
