Pirate girls are "wenches". Princesses are wearing miniskirts and more makeup than the clowns. Tube tops, fishnets, poses straight out of the lingerie catalog.

Have costume companies gone too far? Are parents letting their children dress too provacatively for trick or treating?

(No I don’t have children… just an observation after costume shopping)

Well, im working in a pair with my friend. my teacher gave us a project and we have to make a yearbook and a movie and a journal and its all due in 3 weeks when we got it yesterday.

anyway…..i got the 70s and the 80s and i need help. How can I have a 70s-80s outfit without ordering/buying an expensive costume or going on a shopping spree??
our parents arent american. my mom is panamanian and my dad is jamaican (he kinda had the same fashion) and my friend’s parents are indian. so its kinda hard

yeah. so thursday is superhero day.
i need something cheep sorta.
my parents wont buy me another costume
becuase i already got a costume for the 50s.
because that was a day in spirit week also.

but yeah. do you have any ideas.
i was gonna dress up as cat woman
and buy cat ears..
and wear black shirt black pants and high heels.
will that work? or no.

I am in charge of coming up with a theme for our kindegarden and 1st grade mommy-son dance. Last year we did 70s and each kid took home a tie dyed shirt. The year before they dressed western and ate BBQ and got a hat. I need a fresh idea that is relatively easy for parents to dress as, and inexpensive to put on. We have very limited time as a parent backed out and I took over at the last minute. 3 weeks!! We have a DJ, and we have food. I need decoration/costume ideas that young kids will be familiar with and adults will enjoy. Some ideas we have thrown around so far are:

pirates
superheroes
50’s sock hop (i.e. Grease)
prehistoric (cavemen)

any thoughts or comments or other themes?

short and im 5′9 so it looks really short and my parents are so stupid and they kept pointing to all the super long costumes from like the 70s well i got this costume and im an aqua fairy and its ok like but not the size so what sould i do to make it shorter im sooo mad and i had to pay for the costume

when i say cheap i mean like UNDER 30 dollars /:
my parents are a little weird about halloween costumes since i wear them once a year.
