Well, im working in a pair with my friend. my teacher gave us a project and we have to make a yearbook and a movie and a journal and its all due in 3 weeks when we got it yesterday.

anyway…..i got the 70s and the 80s and i need help. How can I have a 70s-80s outfit without ordering/buying an expensive costume or going on a shopping spree??
our parents arent american. my mom is panamanian and my dad is jamaican (he kinda had the same fashion) and my friend’s parents are indian. so its kinda hard

This week we are having "Spirit Wee" Tommorow is "Decade Day" wear you dress up as if you were from the 20s,30s,40s,50s,60s,… (you know what I mean?) and I want to dress up like I am from the 50’s ..

My mom use to have this ‘poodle-skirt’ costume in her closet.. but it turns out that (i think) last week, she gave it to the Good-Will. I did not think I needed it this week for Thursday (tomorrow (duh!!!) )

Here is what I was thinking for tomorrow that I maybe could wear…
***A poodle skirt costume (maybe I could go to the super Wal-mart today and (by luck [if i have any] go find one (which would probably be my Halloween costume for a party too)
***My black (with white bows on the tip of them) flats.
***Curl my hair and put them in pick-tails…(low picktales)

Any Ideas?

It might have been a B/W movie. Mystery? Famous actress, That’s what drew me in to watch in first place. Famous mother of character died and daughter took over the house. Man met, wooed and married her and slowly convinced her she was forgetful and going mad… so she would commit herself… Then he could search for the jewels he knew were there. Turns out they were sewn into mom’s costumes as if costume jewelry in the attic. I think she kills him for the betrayal (of all sorts) that he commited against her in the end. Possibly 1940’s??

however, there is a dilemma. I live in a colder state, and my mom is making me wear something underneath it on top so that i don’t get too cold. (assuming that a miracle won’t happen and it will be in like the 50s or 60s)
Any ideas on what to wear underneath so it won’t be too visible to the human eye?
whoops, guess it was misunderstood. she wants me to wear something long sleeve. (which will totally ruin my costume, agree?)

I’m a 23 year old actress who needs to make myself look like I’m in my 40s for a role. I’ll be playing a suburban mom, and I want to find some reading glasses that have no prescription (I don’t wear glasses, and I’ll be wearing these all day, almost every day) to help make me look older. Anyone know where I can get these? The costume store ones I’ve found are too cheesy looking. This needs to be realistic.

My mom has cancer so she has no hair. My uncle is throwing a halloween party this year and she wants a costume that she can go bald with. Any ideas?

I have an old crazy colored paisley dress (my mom’s) that I was thinking of turning into a go-go dancer costume. Also where are some good places to find accessories/shoes for costumes? I want to be original and not buy a totally store bought costume.
