I’m doing a theater project and have to put together costumes. My character is a 17 year old girl living in the mid-17s. It is summertime. She is free-spirited. What kind of clothing would she wear?

There’s a summer camp and I just got notice that the camp’s dance is gonna be 70s disco theme. I’m 14 and have limited acess to costume catalogs and such. Any ideas as to how i could make a realistic 70s costume on a limited budget?

oh, and I don’t want the fringe vest-bellbottoms-look. I want more of a go-go look or maybe a goucho jumpsuit kind of thing.

Also, I have short, curly hair with bangs. Any tips on 70’s farrah hair?
also, ummmmm how would i do my makeup?

I’ve got a my costume, but my boyfriend and i want to go as a couple. I’m being a gogo girl, with the boots, and minidress, headband…so can someone help us to do the guy side? What kind of 60s dress would he wear if he’s with a gogo girl? Should he dress disco and i can say i’m from the 70s? or did they have disco in the 60s? My school is having a decades week and you get extra credit if you dress up for the decade in relation to that day. For the 50s i already have my outfit (a poodle skirt) from a halloween costume years ago. Now, i need some tips on how to dress for the remaining decades. I’m going to the thrift store, but keep in mind, the store im going to isn’t vintage, so i wont be finding platform shoes or obnoxious bell bottoms. I dont really know what to wear for 60s and 70s. I associate 60s with earthy-hippy and 70s with disco, but what can i wear that can be found in a thrift store?! For 80s, i think i’m going to cut an off the shoulder sweater and wear a bright colored tank top underneath, but what kind of bottom? And for 90s, a few of us are dressing as the spice girls, and i’m baby spice, so i guess i need to find some short little dress? I would appreciate any input or pictures from these eras. Thanks!

i have to have a 70s costume for my church its the theme for sophmores, im not buying a costume but i can buy little things to put it together. what kind of accessories would i need?! Im not going for like the go-go girl thing. more of like a hippie but i still want it to be cute
i was thinking of like making two small braids and wearing a head band and drawing a peace sign on my face and i have a big peace necklace.
