70s shoes/costumes?
I am doing a project on the decade and need to find platform shoes, preferably not stripper shoes.
And any other tacky looking clothing. Any ideas?

My friend invited me to a oldies dance coming up BUT I don’t know what to wear! Could you help me and find some great outfits for this dance. The outfit could be from the 80s, 50s, or any decade. There is a prize for the person who wins the costume contest at the dance, and I’m not that creative! If you could leave a link for the outfit that would be marvelous.

ok so today it snowed and it was suppose to be school girl day at my high school.
tomorrow is decade day…so 70s, 80s, 90s,
me and my friends want to do school girl day tomorrow and i want to mix in some 80s so it doesnt look like i forgot what day to dress up for,

any ideas or pictures of things i could add to my school girl costume? any movies that would give inspiration for an 80s school girl.

Alot of people are doing "peace" ( i think thats the 70s) and the 50s ( i think thats with the legwarmers and off the shoulder sweaters). I really dont know what decade i should do. I dont mind doing one of those but i really want to do something different….

Okay right now I found my inspiration for halloween party. Instead of going as something sexy I wanna go as a decade. Do any of you who either grew during those time. Or atleast like those times have any ideas where I can get some real authentic clothing or atleast some clothing made by designers today. I would really appreciate it. Thanxs!

This week we are having "Spirit Wee" Tommorow is "Decade Day" wear you dress up as if you were from the 20s,30s,40s,50s,60s,… (you know what I mean?) and I want to dress up like I am from the 50’s ..

My mom use to have this ‘poodle-skirt’ costume in her closet.. but it turns out that (i think) last week, she gave it to the Good-Will. I did not think I needed it this week for Thursday (tomorrow (duh!!!) )

Here is what I was thinking for tomorrow that I maybe could wear…
***A poodle skirt costume (maybe I could go to the super Wal-mart today and (by luck [if i have any] go find one (which would probably be my Halloween costume for a party too)
***My black (with white bows on the tip of them) flats.
***Curl my hair and put them in pick-tails…(low picktales)

Any Ideas?

this year, me and my friends are going as pairs from the decades.
there’s ten of us and we’re doing the decades, 20s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
we don’t want to buy a costume in a bag and were thinking about doing homemade things.
we need help with some of the decades.
could anybody think of something for a boy and girl of 14-15 for each decade?

My school is having a decades week and you get extra credit if you dress up for the decade in relation to that day. For the 50s i already have my outfit (a poodle skirt) from a halloween costume years ago. Now, i need some tips on how to dress for the remaining decades. I’m going to the thrift store, but keep in mind, the store im going to isn’t vintage, so i wont be finding platform shoes or obnoxious bell bottoms. I dont really know what to wear for 60s and 70s. I associate 60s with earthy-hippy and 70s with disco, but what can i wear that can be found in a thrift store?! For 80s, i think i’m going to cut an off the shoulder sweater and wear a bright colored tank top underneath, but what kind of bottom? And for 90s, a few of us are dressing as the spice girls, and i’m baby spice, so i guess i need to find some short little dress? I would appreciate any input or pictures from these eras. Thanks!
