I am 11 and i dont want to look slutty or like a princess i am very girly! i am a cheerleader but i have neighbors that are elders and i want their candy!! and no 60s or 80s that is just DUMB!!

Need a costume for an ’80s night. I have a shirt and hightops etc, but I really need the red, North Face bodywarmer/down vest/sleeveless jacket. I’ve tried all my local vintage shopes, charity shops and thrift stores, but to no avail, so online is my last port of call…

I remember bits and pieces of a kid show during the late 70s early ’80s, but I don’t know if it was real. The set was a large white soundstage and in the back was a skinny plantation style house. In the foreground was a big tree on the right and a pond on the left and a garden house a little behind the pond.
The tree had a house that a big fullsized costumed owl lived in. A fullsized "childlike" frog lived in the pond and there was either a fullsized cat or cow (female) that lived in the garden house.
The woman that lived in the house had dark hair and a poofy white dress. The scenery was basically all white except for the four things mentioned. I believe it was on PBS in Lansing, Michigan but I don’t know if it was just a local show. Am I Crazy?

Hey everyone! So Halloween is coming up and I like to make my own costumes and usually the turn out cute, one year I was an 80s girl and last year I was a rocker. Anyways I am having a hard time coming up with something this year. I don’t want my stomach to show and I am pretty chesty so I wouldn’t mind showing the girls off lol!! Any ideas would be great! I think the show was in the 80s maybe the 70s but i doubt it. all i remember is that theres some people in animal costumes that play instruments, dance and travel places. the only animal i remember is a dog that has a hat and his tongue out i think. so can any one help me remember???

I am trying to put together a good 80s costume for halloween. I bought a dress at goodwill for my costume, but I am not sure if it’s really 80s. I will describe it:
Strapless, floral pattern, knee length straight bottom, all around the waist is a big ruffle that is about half the length of the skirt and a approx 4 inch rose made out of the fabric of the dress.
Does that sound like what someone would wear in the 80s?

My friend is having a party this weekend and the theme is to dress up like a ______ star! I want to dress up like an 80s rock star (I’m thinking Cyndi Lauper) but I need some ideas of how to do this inexpensively (I’m a college student!) and without much time to do any shopping except maybe a quick run to Walmart! So tonight is halloween, and I want to dress 80s. I’m a girl. haha. I have no sweatshirts anyone will let me cut… but I do have a t-shirt I can cut will that work? Any suggestions?

In previous years I’ve had some pretty good, original costumes, such as Indiana Jones and Elton John (complete with feather boa, sparkle shoes, etc).

This year I have decided I want to do something from the mid-90s (I find myself nostalgic for that time period and it’s an era I’ve never done)

Here’s the requirements I have:

1. It has to be something easily recognizable but something nobody else at my Halloween parties will be.
2. It has to be something that will not only make me stand out, but also look appealing to the opposite gender (Elton probably was not but I was younger then)
3. I want it to be detail oriented. I want to be able to have little things that make people go "Wow.. you really spent some time on this"
4. I want to be able to move around. Like I said, I’ll probably be party hopping so it can’t be anything bulky, anything I’d have trouble dancing in, and anything with two many props (1 or 2 max such as my whip and camel back when I was Indiana Jones)
5. The person can’t have blond hair because I don’t and I don’t want to wear a wig or dye it.

Some ideas I’ve been toying with
Butthead- I don’t want a Beavis and it’s kind of simplistic
Hair Metal Band Member- Could work but more 80s than 90s and I did that last year
Something from Old School Nickelodeon (Don’t know what yet)
Austin Powers- The humor is 90s but he’s really from the 60s and I don’t want to act like Austin Powers all night.

My bf is going as Bret Michaels this Halloween and I am going to be his little groupie girlfriend. I have the perfect costume that I gathered up at my local thrift store. I need help with all the details… makeup… nails. I have a wig that has the awesome wave style bangs and crimped hair. I plan on spraying a little pink, purple, and glitter hair color spray into the hair mess. I want really outrageous nails and am not sure how to do them (im 22 so cant really remember the details of 80s fashion) For my makeup I plan on doing hot pink lips and different bright colored eyeshadows with blue eyeliner. Should I have funky eyelashes or would that be too much? Thanks for any suggestions!!

okay so every year for cross country we have a meet at our school and the girl team always has a theme. this year we’re going with 80s fashion with side ponytails, crazy makeup, gaudy jewlery, glitter, leggings, etc.
